Working with Nature's own paintbrush inspires a lot of creativity in the shop. When I am out collecting wood, I am drawn to the twists and turns in the branches I collect. These drive the design portion of much of my Limbs and Twigs custom furniture.

In my neck of the woods there are ample choke cherry trees, willows and aspen groves. When landscapers come in and clear areas I have arrangements with them to harvest their cuttings for my furniture. It's often like a treasure hunt, sorting through the piles of branches, finding unique inspirations from the trees themselves.

The Grandfather clock with glass front doubles as a bookcase, and comes with a chiming mechanism. Since our dogs love to answer the chimes, we have ours on silent most of the time! The clock is fir and choke cherry, with 2 different colors of light glaze.

This entertainment center is also made from fir and choke cherry. The door panels are leather, and the soft-close doors have handles that are choke cherry.

I like collaborating with other artists. The 8 corner oil paintings on this piece are all done by my friend, Bart Walker (www.bartwalker.com), and they are of my favorite places in the Tetons.

Another collaborative project is this fir and choke cherry key keeper closet, featuring a Bart Walker painting.

This miniature chair comes in handy every Christmas as a resting place for the busy elves - especially when the grandchildren are here on Christmas Eve!
